NuvaTime™
For Organon, an Akzo Nobel company, npk products carried out the mass production of the NuvaTime™ timer, an intelligent device that helps to remind women when to insert and remove a NuvaRing®, a new hormone-based contraceptive in the shape of a rubber ring.

Organon asked npk industrial design to invent a solution that would improve patient compliance for this birth control ring. npk industrial design proposed a user-friendly, language-independent electronic device, supplied with an LCD user interface, shaped like an hourglass. As a main supplier, npk products was responsible for supplier selection, outsourcing of moulds, mould progress control, production, quality control and worldwide logistics. This included technologies such as: LCD display and electronics, plastic and silicone injection moulds, US welding, assembly and testing. In this project, npk products worked in close co-operation with one of her preferred suppliers in the field of electronics development.
