ADSL Modem Housing
For Allied Data, a leading global company in modems, ISDN and DSL technology solutions, npk industrial design developed a simple but effective modem housing, consisting of only four different plastic parts. The whole development process took place within 4 weeks. npk products outsourced the moulds and mass production via it's office in Hong Kong. The lead time for the plastic injection moulds was only 3 weeks. The lead times were of major importance in order to deliver the housing in time for the Euro 2004 tournament (see below). In terms of time to market and cost control, this is a clear example of the advantages of a turn key project and sourcing at one of npk products' Chinese preferred suppliers.
