Hamax

Plus system
The plus system for Hamax allows different accessories (children’s bicycle seat , basket) to be easily mounted on a standard bicycle carrier. Different parts can be attached or removed simply by clicking them onto the carrier. For this project a total of 33 moulds has been delivered to Norway. In order to shorten lead-times to final product, npk products, npk industrial design and Hamax made a combined trip to China. Samples could be judged, files modified and SOT trials planned within a matter of hours. This intense way of working made it possible to go from FOT sample to modified and textured SOT sample in just 10 days where it usually takes at least 3 weeks. For this project npk products outsourced moulds to both China and Portugal.
