npk products opens new office in Shenzhen (China)

Since this summer npk products opened up a new office in Shenzhen. We hired 2 people to assist us with QC and communication. The office is conveniently located near the Fu Yong Ferry Terminal and Shenzhen airport. We are positive that this office helps us broaden the services provided to our clients and ensure that we can maintain the high quality level of our products. Newly offered services include supplier search & selection and purchase & trading service.

Chess reader

For our long term partner Chess Embedded Electronics we have produced the housing for a new handheld payment terminal. The project was finished in less than 5 weeks including the production of the first batch of 250 products. The terminal is to be used in the Amsterdam Arena and proved to be e great success at the Sensation White Dance Party on july 5th 2008.

Kunststoffenbeurs 2008

Just like previous years, npk products presents its latest products at the Kunststoffenbeurs in Veldhoven. On Wednesday September 24th our managing director, Mr. Thomas van Daal will give a presentation about our vision on the future of design for plastics.

npk design 30 years!

Our mother company npk design celebrates it's 30th anniversary at the end of this summer. On September 19th we have invited our closest contacts for drinks and dinner at our main office in Leiden.

2K plastic injection moulding

Recently npk products successfully finished their first 2K plastic injection moulded products in China. Actually 1 of the parts is a 3K part if you count the overmoulded gold-plated pins as a component. Even though this project is only produced in small series of 3000 pcs max initially, npk products managed to organize the production in a cost-efficient way. To ensure the high-end finish of the product we chose to produce an automatic rotating mould. The 4 metal pins are placed in one cavity, then the PC component of the two different cavities of the mould is injected and as the last step the TPE component of the parts is injected. After moulding the parts are printed, masked and painted in 2 colors. The final product will be on display after the summer of 2007.

Hong Kong

Due to the rapid expansion of activities of npk products ltd in the Shenzhen area we have moved to a bigger office. This allows us to grow further. Apart from more office space for more people, our new location has a warehouse. This allows us to store and handle samples of the products we outsource in the China mainland. Thus improving out Hong Kong based quality control. The new office is located in the Eastern Harbour Centre in the Quarry Bay area.
